Handwriting practice pack - Free SEN Resource

Created By: lboyd01

This is a printable set of tracing worksheets for children learning to write letters and numbers. Every page has dotted letters to trace on ruled lines, with empty lines underneath for writing on their own.

It’s arranged from the larger, easier practice to the smaller, harder work:

  • Big letters (6 pages): each letter from A to Z in large type, capital and lowercase side by side. These suit beginners still learning letter shapes.
  • Smaller letters (4 pages): each letter from A to Z again at a smaller size, with longer rows to build consistency.
  • Full alphabet (1 page): the whole alphabet written out in one go.
  • Numbers (1 page): rows of 0 to 10.
  • Sentence practice (1 page): “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog” in capitals and lowercase, which practises every letter in real words.

Who it’s for: It’s mainly aimed at preschool, kindergarten and early primary children, roughly ages 4 to 7. It also works for older children who need extra handwriting practice and for adults learning to write in English. Parents, teachers and tutors can print the whole set or just the pages a child needs.
